Background & Research
I am an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the Faculty of Sciences, Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra, Morocco. My research sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things.
I obtained my PhD from Ibn Tofail University in 2019, focusing on underwater wireless sensor networks — MAC layer optimization, topology control, and geographic routing. I then held postdoctoral positions at Qatar University and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), working on AI-driven surveillance and energy-efficient IoT networks.
My current work targets intrusion detection systems for IoT using deep learning, federated learning for industrial cybersecurity, and scalable LoRaWAN architectures. I contribute actively to the community through editorial service, peer review (55+ for IEEE journals), and TPC membership at major IEEE conferences.
